Job Description

You are a meticulous test engineer with the desire to measure, understand, document and analyze battery performance, working along with our R&D staff and battery manufacturing team. Your focus will be testing the manufacturing yields and battery performance under load, carrying out accelerated testing, and automating data acquisition and data analysis. You will participate in test equipment installation, creation of documentation and training instruction, and writing production documentation ready for technology transfer. Your choices help advance Imprint’s products from novel applications to production in the billions per year. Your attention to detail, self-discipline and time management will contribute to success of our team. You will wear many hats and contribute to all aspects of battery manufacturing, optimization and testing.

 

Role responsibilities

  • Perform battery testing

  • Carry out statistical analysis of battery performance

  • Write scripts to automate data gathering and analysis

  • Participate in equipment installation, maintenance and calibration 

     

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline 

  • Documented attention to details and self-discipline

  • Computer literacy, experience with scripting and databases is a plus

  • Familiarity with data analysis and the use of statistical analysis software such as JMP

  • Ability to work and communicate with a small team in a dynamic, fast-moving environment with minimal supervision 

  • Desire to learn about batteries, their properties, performance metrics and test methods
